Listening Stone

Listening Stone

The Listening Stone at the DeCordova Museum can feel slightly disturbing. Like those who are truly listening, he doesn’t care what he looks like. Is not thinking of what to say next.

What about you?

What will it take for you to fully forget about yourself while taking in what another says. In my coach training I ask, “Can you listen like your life depended on it?”

Think of the last person who listened to you at an Olympic level. Can you offer that to someone this week?

This is part of the Knowledge Philanthropy Project inspired by Marshall Goldsmith where we are encouraged to give our work away.

There are lots more resources that you can get back at the Knowledge Library.
